I relate to the story during my time at Absa Bank where I discovered that I should be in Product Management. I launched an investment management system that was considered a failed project, but it wasn`t part of my job at the time. I was really surprised to receive an Award from Absa Business Bank, for extraordinary effort. I was just doing what I liked doing: solving a problem.
Thanks so much for this article, Julie. As someone in a mid-level role, it really resonates with me. When I first started out, I too would try to tick all the boxes. I've only recently realized the power of sharing your key strengths and what makes you different! Good luck with your matchmaking :)
Very applicable, even outside of design field. Starting with the introspection of self and the defining interests and competencies.
This is really helpful, thanks for the article.
Thank you Julie, what a great article!
